Stellar New Science Shows Coming To PBS
How much SCIENCE can you TAKE?! As always, a new year brings a whole bunch of fantastic new programming to your PBS airwaves.
I'd like to take some time out to acknowledge a few just-announced shows dedicated to our universe and the complicated world we live in. Not complicated in the way that *insert failed relationship partner here* won't *call/text/snapchat/send you a pizza* you back, but complicated in that it's going to take Stephen Hawking a long time to talk about it. Seriously.
Here are a few to look forward to.
THE HUMAN FACE OF BIG DATA
We've managed to amass an insane amount of data in the digital age. What does it mean when use this data for or against ourselves? Premiering February 24.
A YEAR IN SPACE
Scott Kelly has been in space for nearly a year. What the heck is that like? Bonus: this show premieres only a day after Scott lands back on earth. Pretty sweet. Premiering March 2.
GENIUS BY STEPHEN HAWKING
In each episode of GENIUS, a different group of regular people will be challenged to think like the greatest scientific minds in history. Why? To solve some of the biggest questions surrounding humanity itself. The show hopes to prove that everybody does indeed have a scientific bone in their body. Premiere date TBD.
